Critique Service
Have you just written your first devotional, and you would like someone to look it over before submitting it to a magazine? Have you been submitting devotionals to magazines and receiving only rejection letters? I can provide a professional, in-depth critique of your devotionals. My goal is to get you started on the right track so you can learn to edit your own work and join the ranks of the published writers. To request a critique, please follow these steps: 1. Prepare your devotional as though you were sending it to a publisher. If you know the publisher to whom you wish to send it, follow their format and word length requirements. Generally, devotionals should not exceed 250 words. 2. Type your name, address, and phone number in the upper left corner. Also, type the name of the publisher to whom you plan to send the devotional. (This will help me in doing my critique.) Type the devotional double-spaced. 3. Enclose a self addressed, stamped envelope. 4. Enclose a check made payable to “Janice Davies” at $10.00 for each devotional to be critiqued. 5. Mail the above to: Janice Davies |
